Kate Stevens has over sixteen years’ experience as an in-house book editor, most recently as an Associate Publisher at Hachette Australia.
Now based in Brisbane, Kate works as a freelance editor; a tutor in editing and publishing subjects at UQ and QUT; and a writing mentor through the Queensland Writers’ Centre and the Australian Society of Authors. She is currently completing her PhD at UQ on the role of the book editor in YA fiction, and recently taught her first workshop at the Queensland Writers’ Centre.
